ARE YOUR BLANKS AND BODIES READY TO USE??
Yes... All the wood we use is kiln dried to 4% - 6% moisture from the sawmill. The bodies will have to be sanded, sealed/filled, etc and then finish can be applied
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM WORK?
W do offer CUSTOM WORK. Please contact us for all your custom work needs. Please note the following:
1. We can make custom BODIES only. I am sorry we do not offer ANY custom necks or anything other than custom bodies. We do not offer ANY finishing services. Unfinished bodies only.
2. We can make any one of the bodies we sell with any of the pickup combinations we sell.
3. If you want a shape that we do not currently offer, we will need a CAD drawing. If you do not have a CAD drawing, there will be an additional charge for us to produce one. The same is true for any other shape we do not have (non-standard pickup cavities, neck cavities, control cavities, etc).
4. The woods we have available are Basswood, Alder, Ash, and African Mahogany only.
5. WE CAN MAKE ANY OF OUR BODIES IN LEFT HAND. Contact us for details.
HOW ARE RETURNS HANDLED?
We do accept returns within 7 days of your receipt of the product. Please contact us for a Return Authorization number (RA number) Please write this number on the OUTSIDE of the box in magic marker. Please understand that because we cannot sell a returned product as "new" we must charge a 15% restock fee. Do not make a purchase unless you understand and agree to these return terms. By publishing these terms we can ensure that, should a return become necessary, each party understands the exact procedure and there will be no surprises.
WHAT FINISH IS ON THE GUITAR OR BASS BODIES?
Our bodies (unless otherwise stated) come unfinished. They are fully shaped and contoured. We generally fill any voids, checks, knots, etc. in the wood or veneer with resin for you.
HOW DO I FINISH MY BODY?
You can finish your body in any way you wish! It can be as easy as wiping on your favorite oil up to professionally applied, UV cured polymer finishes. We suggest grain filler (if required), and finish sanding to at least 220 grit, but really, it is up to you and what look you are going for!
WHAT ABOUT NECK FITMENT?
We route the neck pockets to factory specs (where applicable). For most Fender® types this is 2-3/16" wide and 5/8" deep with the correct radius in the back. For Tele® types the pocket is 2.190" + - .007" wide, 5/8" deep but with NO Radius in the back. Please check YOUR necks dimensions carefully before you order. Some imported necks vary WIDELY. Please note, temperature, humidity and other factors can cause minor changes in dimension so some minor fitting may be required.
CAN I FIT A TL TYPE NECK IN A ST POCKET OR VICE VERSA?
Generally speaking you CAN fit a ST type neck into a TL type pocket. There will be small gaps in the corners (which will be covered if you are using a 22 fret neck that "hangs over" the heel of the neck) but it will fit and intonate correctly. A Tele® type neck will NOT intonate correctly in a Strat® type pocket unless modifications are done.
TELL ME ABOUT THE VENEERS YOU USE.
We use a wide variety of veneers on our bodies, we try to picture them accurately. Our veneers are industry standard 1/42" thick, glued to the body under vacuum with glues that are specifically formulated for vacuum veneering. Like the bodies, we do not apply any finish on the veneer. Some veneers, depending on species, will require more (or less) filling and/or sanding. Some have knots, voids, etc...
We discount for quantity only. If you purchase 10 or more bodies and/or blanks at one time we offer a 10% on the merchandise total. Just contact us after you place your order and we will refund 10% of the merchandise total to your account within ONE business day. I am sorry we do not offer any other types of discount.
